One of the world’s biggest EDM jams heads back to the Mother City in 2017!

Glowsticks? Check. Dancing shoes? Check. World-class DJs and producers? Check. The Mother City welcomes back the 2017 Ultra Music Festival, one of the globe’s craziest electronic dance music (EDM) throwdown, to the Cape Town Stadium on Friday, 24 February 2017.

Having started with a bang in 2014, the mega jam is heading back to Mzansi’s shores and bringing some of the sickest beat-droppers to make heads spin in Jo’burg and Cape Town. David Guetta, Dash Berlin, Martin Garrix and more are all on the bill this year!

Ultra is one of the most celebrated festival brands in the world, and though 2014 was the first time the thumping bash descended on the African continent, opskops have been staged all over the globe, with audiences in Brazil, Korea and party capital Ibiza going ape for the EDM shindig.

It all began in Miami, Florida back in 1999, and the music festival has since become internationally renowned for bringing together the hottest names in the dance scene. To date, the massive outdoor party has managed to conquer nine countries on five continents with the same epic flair that the original event made famous. The only thing left to do is get those jam muscles nice and warm and make sure you have tickets to one of the best parties in the world because it’s going to be a serious jol.

In 2017 the Ultra brand have decided to make the event a single night (with no camping) instead of a two day festival so they could pack more amazing acts in for you to enjoy! Trying to entice people to SA when the Rand is so weak can’t be fun and we think they have done an amazing job!
