Every Friday night the smoking heat from the kitchen filters through to the bar and the decks where well-known local DJ’s set the building aflame with their hottest mixes at Primal Eatery. The New Church Street hotspot switches things up every Friday night.
Dubbed as the Primal Hour, every Friday night from 10pm to midnight Primal Eatery pairs resident DJ Danalog with some refreshing cocktails by Chris, delicious Boschendal bubbles, KW Foothills wine, and two-for-one Don Julio shooters.
Mixologist and head bartender at Primal Eatery, Chris Ilus, was a top-nine regional finalist in World Class South Africa, the world’s biggest bartending competition. Cocktails by Chris infuses the unique smokey element which Primal Eatery is known for, mixed by the best of the best at the Primal Hour. With potable mixes changing every Friday, patrons can expect cocktails like The Ilus, which is a unique spin on the Old Fashioned, incorporating popcorn-infused tequila, orange bitters and Angostura; First Love, which is a blend of passion fruit vodka, grand marnier, apple and pineapple juice; and the Top Model, which is mixed with Bacardi white rum, Campari, grapefruit and pineapple juice, topped with Boschendal Brut NV.
These are all brought together with DJ Danalog pumping chart hits to make you groove in your seat, topped with the hip staff serving you all night, Primal Hour offers a Friday night experience not to be missed!
