Lo-Ghost live at Cafe Roux in Cape Town

Get to know a local Indie band at this inner city venue!

Those of you that know Lo-Ghost will know that you’re in for a treat on Friday, 15 September 2017 when they hit the stage at Cafe Roux on Shortmarket Street. For those that have not heard of Lo-Ghost, this performance is an unmissable opportunity to get to know one of Cape Town’s hottest up-and-coming musical acts.

Cafe Roux opened their Shortmarket Street venue in November 2016, and it has enjoyed immense success from the get-go, both as a music venue and a restaurant. Cape Town residents have flocked to this new inner-city hot-spot. Their menu offers delicious, casual dishes that perfectly accompany the events they are renowned for hosting. You have to try their Textbook Pizza, it’s irresistible!

Getting back to the music, Lo-Ghost is an alt-pop duo comprising Evan Strauss and Shannon Devy, both Capetonians. They explore themes of love, loss and the human condition in their music. The songs they write are raw and honest, and immensely moving. Their sound is categorised by electronic beats, massive vocal performances and deeply soulful melodies. They released their first latest album, ‘There's Blood in my Body and It Sounds Like This’ in July 2017 at Manila Bar, and what a party that was!

Have a listen to some of their best work:
