Winter has arrived and school holidays are upon us. But that doesn’t mean kids need to stay cooped up watching movies all day. Veld and Sea, which hosts regular workshops and foraging classes with an emphasis on the outdoors, is inviting all Cape Town kids between four and nine years to join them for a day of outdoor exploration (and cupcakes) on Friday, 29 June 2018.
Veld and Sea Kids Holiday Workshops, held in the beautiful nature reserve of Cape Point, aim to get the children outside and exploring mother nature in all her glory. They’ll reconnect to nature in an exciting and creative way, and we all know kids love adventure.
The workshop will take kiddies on a journey of exploring tree, leaf and grass art. The workshop will end on a sweet note where they’ll make edible flower petal cupcakes and enjoy them at an outdoor picnic tea party.
The workshop takes place between 9:30am and 12:30pm, giving parents a perfect opportunity to grab a bite to eat at one of the quaint seaside restaurants or just experience Cape Point.
The workshops will run from Tuesday, 26 to Friday, 29 June. Each day of the workshop will take on a new theme. There will be something different happening everyday of the workshop, so why not sign them up for more than one day or perhaps the whole workshop? Tuesday will explore Earth, Wednesday will focus on Water, Thursday on Fire and ending trees and leaves on Friday.
TICKETS FOR THE 2018 ELEMENTS AND NATURE HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
Tickets can be bought via https://www.quicket.co.za. They cost R300 per child per day or R950 a child for all four days.
