New to Cape Town: Royaltea bar serves premium teas and other treats
Happy Hour and Live Music Every Thursday at AC Hotel Cape Town Waterfront
Get a discount on drinks and tapas before local musicians step up to entertain you
Before local musicians come on to do their thing at 7:30pm, pop in early after work and take advantage of the AC Hotel Cape Town Waterfront’s happy hour from 5pm–7pm in the AC Lounge and bar every Thursday (except for the first one of the month).
During happy hour, you’ll get a 20% discount on all beverages and tapas, plus a free bar snack from the red Berkel meat slicer. This bite is the perfect marriage between their Spanish roots and South African influences – a vetkoek shaped like a small doughnut with Spanish cured ham on it.
A PORRON AND A GIN TROLLEY
Experience the communal vibes blended together with acoustic music, signature cocktails and the hotel’s Spanish tapas. If you’re feeling adventurous, share a porron with friends and see who has the skills to master this Spanish vessel. Also, check out their specially curated gin and tonic trolley. It’s stocked with locally foraged Symmetry Tonics, and you get to choose between three different infused tonics (floral, spice or citrus).
HAVE DINNER MADE BY BERTHA
If you’re still hungry and want to order dinner, the options include tapas and a la carte. These stay true to AC Hotel Cape Town’s Spanish roots, while showcasing the influences from the local South African sourced ingredients. For something light, try the caramelised melon spring salad. If you’re really hungry, you can order something from their Bertha charcoal oven – among the offerings are seared tuna steak, sticky lamb ribs with herb yoghurt and apple and fennel slaw, or the pork belly rashers.
FEEL AT HOME AT AC HOTEL CAPE TOWN
Besides the fully-stocked bar and comfy lounge, AC Hotel Cape Town has spacious rooms offering mountain and harbour views. Plus, an outdoor pool, gym, library, boardrooms, a free boat shuttle to the V&A Waterfront, and a complimentary breakfast. What more do you need?
