Finding things to keep the kids occupied can a tough one, but luckily we’ve found a cookery course especially for the little ones that will teach them to create something delicious, while expressing themselves creatively! Dough Babies in Parklands is hosting a gingerbread creation workshop on Saturday, 26 August 2017 from 11am to 12pm.
Creativity is important for stimulating children and also to focus their attention. The chance to bake, build and decorate their own Hansel and Gretel house is bound to tick both boxes for any child.
The workshop is run by gingerbread making experts, so your little ones will be in the most capable of hands. The facilitators will take the children through the entire process of constructing, decorating and finishing a gingerbread house, in whatever style they like! At the end of the session each child’s creation is theirs to take home with them.
We know it’s ambitious, but have a look at the masterpiece that someone managed to rustle up out of gingerbread for Christmas in 2013 (it’s pretty spectacular):
Dough Babies is a reputable cookery school for little chefs. They run all kinds of courses to help your kids get better acquainted with food, and various aspects of cooking. The instructors are always well versed in the culinary delight that they are producing, making sure that your kiddies learn from the best. Dough Babies believe that baking and cooking are excellent ways to introduce foundation skills like mathematical concepts, vocabulary development, confidence building (both creative and self), social skills and sequencing skills. The classes are usually an hour long, and they focus on a fun and interactive recipe, like making unicorn cheesecake cups, rainbow cake cups and pizza sugar cookies, which all offer children an opportunity to nurture their creativity and express themselves through their decorating. Plus, they go home with a whole range of sweet treats, so it’s a win-win for all!
BOOKINGS FOR THE 2017 GINGERBREAD HOUSE COURSE BY DOUGH BABIES
