Deliciously Delectable Spit Braai Sundays at the Quarterdeck

Indulge in succulent meats and tasty Cape Malay treats at The Portswood Hotel's Quarterdeck Restaurant at the V&A Waterfront

The Quarterdeck Restaurant is situated in the Portswood Hotel in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The Restaurant is located in an original section of the Breakwater Convict Station, which was built in 1860. Rich in heritage and history, the restaurant specialises in Traditional Cape Malay Cooking.

Influenced by Indian
cuisine, Cape Malay dishes are aromatic and spicy with recipes such as samoosas, curries and rotis, which are passed down from generation to generation.

Experience executive Chef Craig Paulse’s feast and be taken on a culinary journey, to experience the tastes that make Cape Malay food and the traditional spitbraai so unique.

Indulge in the Quarterdeck’s traditional South African Spit Braai lunch every second Sunday from 12:30 – 16:00. For just R79 a person, the Sunday lunch brings guests succulent melt-in-your mouth lamb on the spit, roasted vegetables, a selection of breads and salads, and even traditional Cape Malay vetkoek.

The special runs until March 2010
, so make sure you take family and friends along for a Sunday afternoon of great food, fine wine and attentive service. The Quarterdeck is a perfect way to have a relaxing Sunday lunch without any of the fuss of hosting at your home.

If you’re looking for a restaurant for a family lunch on a Sunday – or a perfect place to have a spitbraai in Cape Town look no further than the Quartdeck Restaurant.
