The Thriving Sustainable Community Market

Go green at this sustainable living market!

Share your innovative ideas for sustainable living or shop around for fresh produce and recycled goods at the Thriving Goods Market at the Novalis Ubuntu Institute on Saturday, 12 August 2017.

The sustainable living movement in Cape Town is growing and this vibrant market is celebrating the importance of minimising waste and going organic. Girls and guys who’ve  gone green will be sharing their methods of having environmentally efficient lifestyles. The market is being hosted by the Second Hand group, which is a collaborative space that allows people to buy and sell used clothing and other products on Facebook.

Those who are looking to sell organic produce or recycled materials have the option of hiring a regular stall (indoors), a gazebo stall (outdoors) or a food stall. If you’re there to shop, visit the various of stalls that sell fresh, organic produce, second-hand clothes and awesome products made from recycled supplies.

When you need a break from shopping, check out the live music performances taking place in the venue throughout the day or attend talks about sustainable living. If you’re in the mood for a relaxing massage, visit the on-site masseuse.

ENTRY TO THE 2017 THRIVING SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY MARKET AT THE NOVALIS UBUNTU INSTITUTE

Entry to the market will cost R5p/p. If you would like to hire a stall for the day, indoor stalls are priced at R150, outdoor stalls are R250 and food stalls are R200. The market will start at 10:30am.
