His devotees have even claimed that he was the ‘real’ winner that season. After Idols, Haze’s singing career was far from over. He didn’t miss a beat and has been touring and wowing audiences with his talent and charismatic stage presence since. He performs both on his own, and as a part of a four-piece band made up of local musicians.
Haze is influenced by rock legends like Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and Muddy Waters as well as more contemporary musos like My Chemical Romance. He classifies his sound as ‘soul blues rock’, a fusion genre. Haze released a single in May this year, called ‘Star’. It has a slick melody with a clean beat that is nevertheless subtly fraught with emotion, which comes through in his anguished tones.
