The Business of Wine & Food Tourism Conference at Spier

Learn from the best of the best at this unique tourism conference

Say hello to your opportunity to mix and mingle with some of the country’s most successful tourism and wine experts at the Business of Wine & Food Tourism Conference at Spier Wine Farm in the stunning region of Stellenbosch. This unique and exciting event is brought to you by Delta Air Lines with CapeTownMagazine.com as a media partner, and is taking place on Wednesday, 20 September 2017.

This year’s conference boasts an enticing programme that covers a diverse range of topics, all of which focus on the central theme of ‘Aiming for Excellence’. Guests will learn more about brand loyalty from brand developers, ambassadors and managers plus explore topics such as 3D travel marketing, food chains and their long term sustainability, service, and how each of these things can be improved in any business institution.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE BUSINESS OF WINE & FOOD TOURISM CONFERENCE AT SPIER

INTERNATIONAL KNOWLEDGE: This year the Business of Wine & Food Tourism Conference has secured some internationally successful entrepreneurs, academics and creatives to impart their wisdom. The line-up ranges in diversity from wine specialists and sommeliers to hospitality GMs. Andrea Robinson is one of only 26 women in the entire world to hold the title of Master Sommelier. Robinson, a TV personality in the US, will be speaking on the topic of ‘taking wine, food and travel to new heights’, giving us valuable insight into the role of airlines in promoting global wine tourism.

LOCAL BUSINESS LEADERS: We have some pretty amazing local talent in South Africa and we’ll be hearing from the cream of the crop at this year’s event. Kelly Jackson, General Manager at Contiki Holidays SA, will be in attendance and speaking on the topic of ‘virtual reality - is it the new marketing?’. You can also look forward to hearing from Jaisheila Rajput (CEO of Tomorrow Matters), Kevin Arnold (Cellar Master and Partner at Waterford Estate), Jerry Mabena (CEO of Thebe Services), Sisa Ntshona (CEO of SA Tourism) and many more!

LOCATION IS EVERYTHING: The venue for this conference is the stunning Stellenbosch estate of Spier. Spier is one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape, founded in 1692, and also the producer of some of SA’s favourite wines. What better place to learn about wine tourism than at a renowned wine estate?

MIX AND MINGLE: This event is unlike any other as guests will not only have the opportunity to learn from these successful professionals, but they will also to interact with them directly. You could be sipping on a sensational glass of wine, while talking to the CEO of SA Tourism… That’s a big deal!
