Jeep #Warrior7 Endurance Race

The country’s toughest obstacle course challenge will push you to your limits.

When you think of tough endurance races and obstacle course challenges, the one that immediately springs to mind is probably the Jeep Warrior series: notoriously tough but unbelievably entertaining at the same time, this ultimate test of strength and fortitude is coming to the Western Cape in October. The Jeep #Warrior7 Race will take place on Saturday, 22 and Sunday, 23 October 2016 at Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville.

The event has four different obstacle courses that cater for all fitness levels and age groups, which means that even the kids can take part in this weekend of exhilaration and exertion. One thing is for sure though, you WILL get muddy and wet, but it is worth it in the end when you earn your Warrior Status and enjoy the sweet taste of victory and accomplishment with friends and family at the festival.

The Jeep Warrior Races comprises eight events taking place around the country, with up to 5000 brave participants per event. The only gear you need in order to compete is a pair of old running shoes (ones that you don’t mind ruining with mud) and a sense of adventure. This event presents an opportunity for athletes from different codes (such as cycling, running, rugby or crossfit) to compete against each other and level the playing field.

“Outdoor obstacle courses present playtime for kids and adults, getting down and dirty, facing challenges, overcoming fear while having fun, giving a helping hand and sharing stories of achievements and epic fails afterwards,” says Jeep Warrior Race Director Pieter Swart.

There will be food and drink stalls, as well as a beer garden with music to keep your loved ones entertained and to replenish your energy after the race. The official Warrior gear will be on sale at the Warrior Gear stall, and the Jeep exhibition area will let you get up-close and personal with some tough 4x4s. So grab a few mates and enter as a team (of up to eight people), or just bring them along to watch if you want to go at it alone. Whatever your preference, get out of the house and get active with an adrenaline-charged adventure.
