Broaden your experience of yoga this February

Experiencing different things is an important part of living, and your exercise regime is no exception. Take your love of yoga to a new level with Expand Yoga at The Shed on Saturday, 11 February 2017. At this yoga-tastic festival you will be exposed to over five styles of yoga along with various mindfulness exercise techniques, massage and pressure point stimulation and there will also be mind-expanding talks.

Yoga as a practice can be traced back all the way to ancient India, and has become a huge part of modern culture. Yoga is seen to promote mindfulness, and both mental and physical strength. If you have never tried yoga, we cannot encourage you enough to give it a go. It is very tempting to see exercise as only the stuff that makes you sweat and get very out of breath but trust us, yoga is nowhere near as easy as it looks.

There will be various food stalls at the event offering fresh and healthy food and beverages, most of which will be suitable for vegetarians. Please note that you will need to bring your own yoga mat, sweat towel (if you need one), water and a light lunch if you do not plan to buy anything.

Tickets are available online via Quicket.co.za and will cost R120p/p and R80p/p for students (valid student card is required). The festival will begin at 9am.
