District Six Klassique Concert with the Cape Youth Philharmonic Orchestra

This tribute to David Kramer and Taliep Pietersen’s classic is set to be an exquisite musical affair

The Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the Cape Town Opera Choir combine forces to bring a selection of enchanting music to life during this exceptional performance conducted by Brandon Philips.

The show will be lighting up the Artscape Theatre on Thursday, 28 April 2016, and will include a selection of classical music and opera pieces, along with hits from David Kramer and Taliep Pietersen’s District Six: The Musical.

Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti and Johann Strauss’s famed compositions will be performed, but the highlight of the night is set to be the uplifting, poignant and evocative songs that pay tribute to District Six and conclude the show.

Promising to be one of the highlights of Suidoosterfees, this concert is a must for music lovers and cultural aficionados alike.
