Bree Street’s Orphanage Brings you Encore Wednesdays

Bree Street comes alive with the sounds of old school hip hop and R&B

Every Wednesday night Orphanage Cocktail Emporium on the corner of Bree and Orphan Street comes alive with old school hip hop and R&B jams that will take you down memory lane while you dip it low!

Orphanage is known for its delicious food, interesting history (the unconventional name pays homage to an orphanage across the road that opened back in 1919), DJs and, of course, their can’t touch this approach to their signature cocktails. The popular club specialising in artisan cocktails opened their doors in March 2012 and since then the venue has consistently proven itself to be one of the city’s favourite upmarket meeting places.

Expect your Hump Day at Orphanage to get that much better with the legendary DJ Mr Mo on the decks, dropping beats by Biggie, Tupac, Snoop and DRE, mixed with some new school beat bangers to keep the party going. Put your dancing shoes on for Encore Wednesdays at Orphanage where you can expect to party with the who’s who of the Mother City. Orphanage is known to host local and international models sipping champagne and cocktails, and partying up a storm, of course.

Be sure to try Orphanage’s Mexican Love Child cocktail, which features Don Julio tequila, Cinzano Bianco, cucumber juice, elderflower cordial and lime; or My American Granny which contains Jim Beam whiskey, spiced apple puree, honeybush syrup, lemon and mint; or one of the Twisted Classics, which includes the famous Pornstar Martini with vanilla vodka, passion fruit, fresh lime and sugar, served with a shot of sparkling wine. Pair your cocktail with Orphanage’s selection of tapas, which includes chicken popcorn served with jalapeno cream cheese sauce, chilli poppers, spring rolls, ribs, tacos and nachos.
