Botanical Cocktail Workshop at Veld and Sea

Make delicious cocktails with native fynbos

In an increasingly consumerist world, learning to forage for ingredients is becoming more and more important. Veld and Sea are the local authority on all things foraging and they are inviting you for a Botanical Cocktail Workshop on Saturday, 18 February 2017.

They’ll be hosting the workshop at their classroom near Cape Point at the Good Hope Gardens Nursery, and you will be foraging for goodies in the areas surrounding it. You will be tasked with finding your own cocktail friendly ingredients under the expert guidance of Caitlin Hill, alchemy extraordinaire.

On the day you will be making two gin-based cocktails, using the ingredients you have found and at the same time learning the basic pillars of general cocktail making. After concocting something delicious, you will be treated to a light lunch (made from locally sourced produce) that will go excellently with your creations.

After the lunch is done and you’ve recharged your batteries, you will be sent on your merry way with a stunning bouquet of herbs (foraged locally of course) and a bottle of your gin creation to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
