Art Auction at Cape Point Vineyards

Grab yourself some arty bargains from this community-based auction!

On Saturday, 10 June 2017, the Imhoff Waldorf School in Noordhoek is hosting their annual art auction.This time they’ve changed it up by securing the lovely and picturesque Cape Point Vineyards as a venue.

Ever since the event’s inception a few years ago, the art auction has grown bigger and better every year. It was built on the premise that a little goes a long way; one mans trash is another man’s treasure. The parents of the Imhoff Waldorf School were all encouraged to donate something to be auctioned. These lots include art works, craft creations, both old and antique furniture, toys for kids of all ages and plenty more. Head over to the Cape Point Vineyards, browse the collection and choose one to bid on; with the amount of parents taking part, you are virtually guaranteed to find something you like.

The Imhoff Waldorf School is a community-based independent school with the happiness of their students at the heart. The Waldorf practice was created on the back on the Steiner Philosophy, which was introduced by Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian philosopher. He advocated for the “education of freedom” which, he maintained, better guided children into adulthood and prepared them for the obstacles that come with age. The Imhoff Waldorf School follows the same practice and aims to teach children in every aspect possible, in every way possible. This very small community school could really benefit from any money that you wish to give (in the form of bids at their art auction of course).

On the evening, there will be both a silent and a live auction for you to take part in! The event will be MCed by Glen Biderman-Pam (who will also be the auctioneer) . You can expect a night of hilarity and laughs as the comedian heads the event. You will be able to preview the items from 5:30pm, and the auction will start at 6:30pm sharp. If you’re anything like us, you think with your stomach and so you’ll be relieved to know that platters will be available as will a cash bar.
