Cape Town soccer fans, listen up! Our very own boys in red and white are taking on KwaZulu-Natal’s squad, Maritzburg United, in a showdown at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 22 November 2014. Kick-off gets underway at 8:15pm.
Ajax Cape Town will have something to prove after a disappointing 3-0 loss to University of Pretoria, an outcome that followed on from another 3-0 defeat – the latter coming against the Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals. Maritzburg United have recently come off a more positive streak, with a win against Supersport United and a draw with Bloemfontein Celtic.
As it stands though, Ajax Cape Town is currently sitting in third position on the log and the boys in blue come up fourth – one point separates the two sides.
Needless to say, both teams will be vying for a spot in the top three positions in the ranking in this match.
