EARTHBOX is a first-of-its-kind ...
Experience an immersive sensory journey into the depths of the earth
Those who have been feeling all out of love and completely lost without the sweet soft-rock synth sounds of the 80s can rejoice and unleash the big hair because Australian band Air Supply is coming to GrandWest in Cape Town to put on one nostalgic performance on Thursday, 24 April 2014.
Set to make their first ever appearance in Mzansi, British-born singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and vocalist Russell Hitchcock are the dynamic duo responsible for several quintessential hits of the shoulder pad decade, including mega-tunes ‘All Out of Love’, ‘Lost in Love’ and ‘Making Love Out of Nothing at All’. The band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 and quickly became the soundtrack for many neon nights in the 80s thanks to their signature ballad rock.
Now with an impressive seventeen studio records under their belt – 2010’s Mumbo Jumbo is the most recent – Air Supply is coming to serenade local audiences with their extensive repertoire of songs, from their first ever single, ‘Love and Other Bruises’, all the way to their latest hit, ‘Dance with Me’.
In short, audiences who love nostalgia as much as they do generously applied blue eye shadow can expect nothing short of awesome from these recent Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame inductees.
Oh, and don’t forget to bring a lighter for this old-school session of sing-alongs.
