Cape Town’s creatives open a market


After a successful debut on December 3, 2011, The Fringe, Cape Town’s Design and Innovation District, will play host to a second Fringe Handmade Market this Saturday, February 4, 2012.

The Fringe Handmade Market is presented by the by The Fringe, Cape Craft and Design Institute (CCDI), the Cape Town Fashion Council (CTFC), Woodheads and Fledge Creative Catalyst.

A gathering of the talent and culture that is Cape Town’s design community, the market showcases fresh designs and innovative displays with a bespoke, creative slant. While shopping in Cape Town for locally-produced gifts, visitors are sure to find a few timeless pieces and can definitely enjoy products including crafts, pottery, fashion, jewellery, décor, accessories and more.  

The Fringe Handmade market is a friendly affair that welcomes children and pets.
