Planet Kids popular School Holiday Workshop Program is up again and this gives mom’s and dad’s a great place to takes their kids during the school holidays.

Planet Kids is an eco-friendly - inclusive and unique - indoor play and activity centre in Muizenberg

Planet Kids will be offering a variety of arts and crafts during the festive season, very exciting and appropriate to accommodate children from 2 – 12 years.

The school holiday program includes the following activities:

Getting ready to celebrate :

Dec 14 - Making your very own Christmas Tree Decorations
Dec 15 - Making Gift Bags and Boxes and printed wrapping paper
Dec 16 - No Workshop today, but Planet Kids is open for fun and play
Dec 17 - Make Happy Holiday Cards for all your friends
Dec 18 - Make a Christmas stocking

Dec 21 - Make your own holiday sling bag or backpack
Dec 22 - Holiday themed placemats
Dec 23 - Make a Planet Kids Game to give away
Dec 24 - Christmas Medley Day
Dec 25 - Planet Kids Closed for Christmas Day

Preparing for 2010:

Dec 28 - Make your own 2010 Photo calendar (bring 12 photos)
Dec 29 - Art Day: Decorating pillowcases and Dream Collages
Dec 30 - Make a Birthday Calendar (bring photos of families & friends)
Dec 31 - Art Day: Flower Pots and Dream Scratch Pictures
Jan 1 - Planet Kids Closed for New Year’s Day

Story Week:

Jan 4 - Storybook Day: Write and illustrate a story with a friend
Jan 5 - Puppets and Masks for your Story
Jan 6 - Make a House/Castle/Building for your Story
Jan 7 - Make a street scene collage and other decorations for your story
Jan 8 - Story Medley: complete and perform story

Getting ready for school:

Jan 11 - Make a special bead pen.
Jan 12 -Decorate your Homework Diary (bring a diary)

Please note: Programs can be subject to change on our side or due to the wishes of the children attending. Planet Kids welcome all children, including children with disabilities (contact them if your child needs one to one care).

Opening times, prices & directions

Open every day, 10am – 6pm, all year round.

Under 2’s: R1 per month of age, min. charge R10 per hour 2-12’s: R30 for the first hour (R50 for 2 hours) Parents: Free entry

Drop-off fee: additional charge of R20 /h for children under 8

Frequent visitors can purchase bulk visits (a ‘Monthly Card’) and receive a discount.

*The Planet Kids holiday programme runs from Monday’s to Friday, public holidays and weekends will be open for fun and play days from 10:00 – 18:00
