French Toast’s half-price wine special

Take the edge off the Monday Blues

French Toast is a wine lover’s haven – with an extensive wine list, laid back atmosphere and comfy couches, not to mention a tempting tapas menu.

On Mondays they offer a very impressive special of 50 percent off any bottle of wine under R400. Manager Gidi Caetano tells us they see ‘real wine lovers coming for their favourite bottle of wine, which they can’t usually afford‘, so join the Monday regulars and try some new vino for half the usual price.

Some ideas: try the Tamboerskloof Shiraz 2007, usually R230 a bottle you can get it for R115 on Mondays, or the Waterford Rosé, usually R140, for just R70!

They also offer a daily after-work special of a complimentary bruschetta with your first drink and a choice of red or white wine for just R20. 

Ask them to recommend tapas to complement the wine (we tried the goats cheese and tomato tarts, which were delicious). French Toast is a great place to meet up after work for a glass or two of wine and a bite to eat.
