Join the folks over at Môreson Wine Estate, Franschoek, for the Blessing of the Harvest 2012 on Saturday the 4th of February.
Môreson Wine Estate believes that wine is about three things; passion, love and magic. It's what they put into everything they do, into every bottle of wine they make and it's what makes their annual Blessing of the Harvest an event not to be missed!
Come and join them and delight in making wine the old fashioned way. Handpick your own basket of grapes and then press them using your feet, which are, incidentally, the oldest wine making tools in the business.
Make your own bottle of wine
As you'll soon discover wine making is a tiring job. So best you stay for a special feast at Bread & Wine, the acclaimed Franschoek farm restaurant, to finish off the day of Blessing the Harvest. They are all guaranteed to quench the thirst you've no doubt worked up.
Over lunch, while you're enjoying your food and relaxing with your wine, give the Blessing of the Harvest label design competition a whirl. Who knows it could be your label design that is selected to adorn the 2011 Blessing of the Harvest Bottle.
Cost: R450p/p this includes the following: bubbly on arrival, harvest, stomping, lunch and laughter, your own bottle of wine which will be ready to collect in November 2012.
Moreson Wine Estate is also offering a fun wine blending day course in May and June.
